The musical component consists of skill development, theory, ear training, improvisation, and sound production. The music aspect does not focus on the theology behind the worship as much as skill improvement in playing instrument as a way to worship God. Theology is taught side-by-side by our internships.
Do students have to provide their own instruments, or are there instruments to borrow? It depends on availability and also the instrument. It is recommended that all students have their own instrument purchased or rented with your own speakers if you are learning piano. Ask our teachers for some great places where you can rent/purchase instruments. We do have a few guitars and an electrical piano available for use.

How much time is spent playing your primary instrument? You will need to spend at least seven hours in the prayer room and also however many hours your instructor tells you to practice. You are not required to know how to read music or have to go through an audition to be accepted. You will be assessed by your instructor to determine your level of experience and music comprehension in the first day.
