About LoveHOP
A FEW WORDS about US
The Tabernacle of David
King David was a man of "one thing" (Psalm 27:4). Around 1000 BC, as an outflow of his heart, he commanded that the Ark of the Covenant be brought up on the shoulders of the Levites amidst the sound of songs and musical instruments to his new capital, Jerusalem. There he had it placed in a tent and appointed two-hundred and eighty-eight prophetic singers and four thousand musicians to minister before the Lord, "to make petition, to give thanks and to praise the Lord" day and night (1 Chronicles 15-17). This was unlike anything that had been done in Israel's history, but it was God's plan for Israel.
Night and Day Prayer/Worship Today
In 1999, a movement of continual prayer erupted in Europe known as 24-7 prayer (www.24-7prayer.com). This movement of ceaseless prayer has seen 24-7 prayer rooms emerge in many nations. Right now the prayer and worship movement is reaching unprecedented levels globally.
On May 07, 1999, the International House of Prayer (www.ihop.org) was established. It became a 24-7 house of worship and prayer that is still continuing on today. Now through a series of clear words from the Lord, the Love House of Prayer is being developed to facilitate sustained, creative, effective prayer and worship with a missional focus in the Long Beach region!
VISION:
1. Pursuing an expression of day and night prayer and
worship in the spirit of the tabernacle of David as our
central focus for the transformation of the greater
Long Beach region and the nations.
2. Releasing an emerging generation of forerunners
and revivalists who will proclaim Jesus in every
sphere of culture and operate in supernatural
demonstrations of the Kingdom of God.
OUR MISSION
Providing a venue for you and our generation where we can come together to seek God's glory through prayer, fasting, and worship.
HISTORY OF CSULB PRAYER:
LoveHOP originally started out as a no-name prayer group at CSULB where a small group of students in 2005 started to come together to pray and fast for revival in the campus. The team started with Karla Goddu in Fall 2005 with Albert Kim, Steven Lee, Tim Pae, and David Wiltfong from various Christian clubs and denominations. My best friend, Karla- was the only one leading and administrating it- and we scheduled our school work around her time so all of us could pray together. We just loved the Lord, and we wholeheartedly believed that God could do anything through any of us. And we saw God pouring out signs, miracles, and wonders through our lives. We also saw signficant changes in our personal relationships with the Lord as it changed dramatically through prayer and fasting.
By Spring 2006, majority of us were called to several places. Tim Pae and Albert Kim began to take charge of HOPFAN with Blessed INTL, which is a house of prayer in Fullerton. Karla Goddu graduated and got married and is doing full-time ministry with her husband. And David and I continued on with the prayers at CSULB.
When Karla graduated in Spring 2006, God began to speak to me about creating a platform where any Christians can pray at any time in front of the University Bookstore. In Spring 2007, we had prayers from Mondays through Saturdays throughout the semester. In Spring 2008, we had over ten prayer leaders that kept our school, our city, and the nations in prayer from Mondays through Fridays. As we continued to grow, LoveHOP began to emerge from a lifestyle of prayer, worship, and fasting.

HISTORY OF LOVE HOUSE OF PRAYER:
In Fall 2008, God began speaking to me and Harold Huang about raising up a house of prayer that would cover the whole city spiritually and eventually release a world-wide revival. Within a span of two weeks in the Fall, five to seven other students/leaders came and talked to me about raising up a house of prayer as well. We never had so many confirmations within such a short-time! So all of the prayer leaders began to strategically pray that God would raise up His house until the winter.
The next semester, God spoke to me to call forth a 21 days of prayer and fasting to pray for breakthrough in the family as well as for the house of prayer. At the same time, God gave Tiffa Lu a vision to do a Love Tent (40 hours of prayer, worship, and fasting) on campus. The Love Tent was really last-minute, and the school administration chose a date for us that caused the 21 days of prayer and fasting to end with the Love Tent on Friday, February 27, 2009. On the first night of the Love Tent, God gave me a vision of a newspaper being thrown in front of my face. It read, 24-7 House of Prayer in Signal Hill. At first, I kind of ignored it since we were looking to build up a house of prayer in Long Beach City. However, the Holy Spirit nudged me back to the vision again since none of us received any specifics about the whereabouts of the house of prayer.
In the next few days, I threw out some e-mails in faith on Facebook and our prayer newsletter that we would be praying for a house of prayer in Signal Hill City. After a day or two, I received a message on Facebook from a young man, Katzy Serrano, about his vision to cover every block of the city in prayer. He said that about three years ago in 2006, he was praying that God would raise up a house of prayer in Signal Hill. When he went back to
his car, he opened his Bible randomly to Isaiah 2 and the song, You Said by Rita Springer, began to play. As I was reading about how the song, You Said, was played in his car three years ago, my iTunes also went to the same song simultaneously at that present time.
Within a week or two God spoke to me, once again, to call forth another fast for three days drinking just water. By then the number dwindled down to seven to nine people, but we had the most amazing breakthrough for the house of prayer. The ones who were there can only describe with what happened on that last night of prayer and fasting.
Within a span of 2 months, we received more and more confirmations. Finally, the Love House of Prayer was launched on May 07, 2009 at 7:00pm. I found out a week later that the International House of Prayer started on the same day as well, except it was a decade ago in 1999. We concluded that .2739% (1/365) was us stepping in faith and 99.7261% was God.
Now, we are still continuing on building up a 24-7 schedule of prayer and worship in faith by creating relationships with churches and leaders in the surrounding region in Long Beach.
Why are we so crazy about it? Because we are so in love, and we want to see His face. That is why we are contending for Love on earth.
Come back soon...
His-story is still being written...
Statement of Faith
We believe that only the sixty-six books of the Bible are the inspired and, therefore, inerrant Word of God. The Bible is the final authority for all we believe and how we are to live. (Matt. 5:18; Jn.10:35, 17:17; 2 Tim. 3:1617; 2 Pet. 1:2021)
We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, fully God and fully man; that He was conceived and born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and offered Himself as a penal, substitutionary sacrifice for sinners. By His blood shed at the cross, He obtained for us eternal redemption, the forgiveness of sins and life everlasting. He was raised bodily on the third day and ascended to the right hand of the Father, there to make intercession for the saints forever. (Matt. 1:1825; Jn. 1:118; Rom. 8:34; 1 Cor. 15:128; 2 Cor. 5:21; Gal. 3:1014; Eph. 1:7; Phil. 2:611; Col. 1:1523; Heb. 7:25, 9:1315, 10:19; 1 Pet. 2:2125; 1 Jn. 2:12)
We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. No ordinance, ritual, work or any other activity on the part of man is required or accepted in order to be saved. This saving grace of God, through the power of the Holy Spirit, also sanctifies us by enabling us to do what is pleasing in God's sight in order that we might be progressively conformed to the image of Christ. (Jn. 1:1213, 6:3744, 10:2530; Acts 16:3031; Rom. 34, 8:117, 3139, 10:810; Eph. 2:810; Phil. 2:1213; Titus 3:37; 1 Jn. 1:7, 9)
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ baptizes believers in the Holy Spirit, in whom we are also sealed for the day of redemption. The Holy Spirit regenerates, forever indwells, and graciously equips the Christian for godly living and service. Subsequent to conversion, the Spirit desires to fill, empower and anoint believers for ministry and witness. We also believe that signs and wonders, as well as all the gifts of the Spirit described in the New Testament, are operative today and are designed to testify to the presence of the Kingdom and to empower and edify the Church to fulfill its calling and mission. (Matt. 3:11; Jn. 1:1213, 3:115; Acts 4:2930; Rom. 8:9, 12:38; 1 Cor. 12:1213; 2 Cor. 1:2122; Gal. 3:15; Eph. 1:1314, 5:18)
We believe that the one true God exists eternally in three personsFather, Son and Holy Spiritand that these, being one God, are equal in deity, power and glory. We believe that God not only created the world but also now upholds, sustains, governs and providentially directs all that exists and that He will bring all things to their proper consummation in Christ Jesus to the glory of His name. (Ps. 104, 139; Matt. 10:2931, 28:19; Acts 17:2428; 2 Cor. 13:14; Eph. 1:912, 4:46; Col. 1:1617; Heb. 1:13; Rev. 1:46)
We believe that when Christians die, they pass immediately into the blessed presence of Christ, there to enjoy conscious fellowship with the Savior until the day of the resurrection and the glorious transformation of their bodies. The saved will then forever dwell in blissful fellowship with their great triune God. We also believe that when unbelievers die, they are consigned to hell, there to await the Day of Judgment when they shall be punished in the lake of fire with eternal, conscious and tormented separation from the presence of God. (Matt. 25:46; Lk. 16:1931; Jn. 5:2529; 1 Cor. 15:3558; 2 Cor. 5:110; Phil. 1:1926, 3:2021; 2 Thess. 1:510; Rev. 20:1115, 21:122:15)
We believe that water baptism and the Lord's Supper are the two ordinances of the Church to be observed until the time of Christ's return. They are not a means of salvation, but are channels of God's sanctifying grace and blessing to the faithful in Christ Jesus. (Matt. 26:2629, 28:19; Rom. 6:311; 1 Cor. 11:2334; 1 Pet. 3:21) We believe that Adam was originally created in the image of God, righteous and without sin. As a consequence of his disobedience, Adam's posterity is born subject to both imputed and inherent sin, and all humans are therefore by nature and choice the children of wrath, justly condemned in the sight of God, wholly unable to save themselves or to contribute in any way to their acceptance with God. (Gen. 13; Ps. 51:5; Isa. 53:5; Rom. 3:918, 5:1221; Eph. 2:13)
We believe that the Church is God's primary instrument through which He is fulfilling His redemptive purposes in the earth. To equip the saints for the work of ministry, God has given the Church apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers. We also affirm the priesthood of all believers and the importance of every Christian being joined with and actively involved in a local community of the saints. We believe that women, no less than men, are called and gifted to proclaim the Gospel and do all the works of the Kingdom. (Matt. 16:1719; Acts 2:1718, 42; Eph. 3:1421, 4:1116; 1 Tim. 2:1115; Heb. 10:2325; 1 Pet. 2:45, 910)
We believe that God has called the Church to preach the gospel to all nations, to especially remember the poor and to minister to their needs through sacrificial giving and practical service. This ministry is an expression of the heart of the Lord Jesus Christ and is an essential part of the Kingdom of God. (Isa. 58:612, 61:1; Matt. 57, 28:1820; Lk. 4:18, 21:14; Gal. 2:10; 1 Tim. 6:8)
We believe that Satan, originally the great and good angel Lucifer, rebelled against God, taking a multitude of angels with him. He was cast out of God's presence and is at work with his demonic hosts to establish his counter-kingdom of darkness, evil and unrest on earth. Satan was judged and defeated at the cross of Christ and will be cast forever into the lake of fire which has been prepared for him and his angels. (Isa. 14:1017; Ezek. 28:1119; Matt. 12:2529, 25:41; Jn. 12:31, 16:11; Eph. 6:1020; Col. 2:15; 2 Pet. 2:4; Jude 6; Rev. 12:79, 20:10)
